The Subcommittee released its legislative text for the <a href=\"https:\/\/appropriations.house.gov\/events\/markups\/subcommittee-markup-fy25-labor-health-and-human-services-education-and-related\">Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) markup<\/a> on <strong>Wednesday, June 26<\/strong>. The funding bill cuts education funding by 14%. Still, it maintains TRIO, GEAR UP, and Pell funding flat \u2013 meaning it does not increase or decrease \u2013 but will halve the <strong>Federal Work-Study Program<\/strong> and <strong>Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Program <\/strong>funding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The full Committee will mark up the legislation on <strong>Wednesday, July 10<\/strong>, and House leadership hopes to pass the bill on the floor before the end of July.
